Something is brewing between Amapiano singer MaWhoo and influencer Cyan Boujee, and their Instagram Stories are doing all the talking. On 18 October 2026, both women posted a series of thinly veiled messages that social media users were quick to connect, with the prevailing theory being that a man is at the root of the tension.
MaWhoo opened the back-and-forth by sharing a screenshot of an incoming text notification that read
"My twin! 💋❤️😍🥰 You believe a mad lady over me. I really be having people mad for years."
Cyan fires back
Cyan Boujee did not let the posts slide. She responded on her own Stories with two sharp captions that many users immediately read as a direct response to MaWhoo.
"HE ON MY PHONE TRYNNA PROVE HE DON'T FW HER, SHE ON SOCIAL MEDIA TRYNNA PROVE SHE FW HIM, JUST DUMB & DUMBER. My name alone will ruin a B's whole day."
The gossip account @SA_gossiplab flagged the exchange on X, writing:
"Mawhoo and Cyan Boujee have been throwing subliminals at each other on Instagram, and the tension between the two is becoming hard to miss. From the back-and-forth posts, one would swear a man is at the centre of it all. What exactly is going on between these two?"
Netizens weigh in
The post attracted a wave of commentary from users keen to piece together the full picture. Below is a selection of reactions:

@iamkeabetswee:
"If I had to fall pregnant just to secure the house and everything else, only for his other girlfriend to get everything without having to give him a baby, I'd be mad too. 😭"
@zamaxay:
"Cyan is probably feeling big coz of the baby. 😭🤣"
@Sweetcakes2036:
"I believe it's that pink-faced man; he's been dealing with them both and he seems to be very generous. ATP they should meet and just fight sana, WOMAN TO WOMAN."
@is55k:
"Lol cyan posted a video with a baby stroller at the back after mawhoo claimed the man bought her 3 houses. Baddies are ridiculous; how do you give a guy a baby that can leave anytime🤣"
@mina_la2950:
"Bare the guy cyan is dating or married to ke ex ya Mahoo. I saw that on TikTok."
Skhotheni defended Cyan’s pregnancy being revealed
Gogo Skhotheni posted a video on social media calling out celebrity fashion designer Siphosihle Masango over his conduct with clients.
The sangoma-turned-DJ accused Masango of gossiping about high-profile clients, including Mihlali Ndamase, during her own fitting at his studio.
