South Korean chipmaker SK hynix Inc. was the most sought-after company among South Korean job seekers over the past year, a survey showed Friday.
According to a poll conducted by Seoul-based recruitment platform Incruit Corp., SK hynix ranked No. 1 among companies registered as favorites by job seekers on the platform. The feature allows users to receive job postings from companies they follow via email.
SK hynix has emerged as South Korea's second-largest company by market capitalization, fueled by a surge in demand for artificial intelligence (AI) chips.
Hyundai Motor Co. ranked second, followed by Incheon International Airport Corp., platform operator Kakao Corp. and tech giant Samsung Electronics Co.
Among the 10 most popular companies, two were public institutions -- Incheon International Airport and Korea Electric Power Corp. Woori Bank was the only financial company to make the top 10. (Yonhap)
