The next installment of Call of Duty is on the horizon and to celebrate this year’s edition, Modern Warfare 4, MSI is collaborating with Activision to create a special, limited edition GPU. It incorporates the game’s colors and aesthetics into the design of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB that any CoD fan would be hyped to have in their build.
This RTX 5080 is outfitted with MSI’s Trio Frozr 4 thermal design that includes a set of three Stormforce fans. The fans incorporate “claw-textured blades” for better airflow and improved acoustics. Around the edges of each fan is a distinct yellow ring that that pops against the shroud’s flat black. It’s inspired by the game’s logo, which uses it for the number 4.
Lurking beneath the shroud is the distinct heatsink that also makes use of the same striking yellow. It might seem odd to go that hard on the heatsink that’s mostly covered up, but when looking at the card it does add some flair that pops through the fans and along the top.
The backplate has some cool design elements as well to expose more of the heatsink from the backside. There are cutouts for the heatsink, along with a transparent section that provides a look at the PCB and features a portrait of the popular Ghost character.
The MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16GB CoD MW4 Edition OC goes on sale October 23 if you're interested.
