The Indianapolis Colts are having a bad Monday, to say the least.
First, the organization fired general manager Chris Ballard following the embarrassing 26-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The Colts will now be on the hunt for his replacement.
Then, the team received an injury update on Pro Bowl cornerback Sauce Gardner, who left Sunday's game early. He underwent an MRI on Monday and it was discovered that Gardner has a mild left calf strain. He is now considered week-to-week, per ESPN's Ian Rapoport.
Gardner will miss some time, but he isn't expected to land on the injured reserve list or be out for a long period of time. The Colts will face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, and Gardner is likely to miss the contest.

This is unfortunate timing for the Colts to lose one of their star defensive players as the team is attempting to turn around their bad luck so far this season. They now sit 2-4 on the season, and will need any help they can get back in the winning category.
Gardner's had issues with this calf before. Last season, after being traded to the Colts from the New York Jets mid-season, Gardner suffered a left calf strain that limited him to competing in just four games for Indianapolis. Hopefully this time around he won't miss as much game time.
Through six games so far this season, Gardner has recorded 17 tackles and has broken up four passes.
In Gardner's absence, cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt took over for him on Sunday, and is expected to continue competing in his role while Gardner recovers. Taylor-Britt logged two tackles on Sunday.
