Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon has issued a confident warning to the rest of the NFL as running back Josh Jacobs prepares to return. The Packers are expected to welcome Jacobs back in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions.
Nixon believes Green Bay’s opponents should be concerned about what comes next, especially with another important player potentially returning.
“It’s a different team now,” Nixon said, according to Matt Schneidman.

“Think they was scared of us then? We’ll see what happen when 8 get back and then 1 come back.”
Nixon’s reference to No. 8 points to Jacob, whose absence has left Green Bay struggling to establish a consistent rushing attack.
The veteran running back began the season on the NFL’s commissioners’ exempt list following an offseason legal incident. However, the league announced that Jacobs would be removed from the list Monday, October 19, making him eligible to return.
His expected comeback could provide a significant boost to quarterback Jordan Love and Green Bay’s offense. The Packers have averaged just 60.4 rushing yards per game through their first five contests, placing them last in the NFL.
Meanwhile, Nixon’s mention of No. 1 appears to reference defensive star Micah Parsons, who has been recovering from a serious knee injury. Parsons has yet to make his season debut, although his eventual return would strengthen Green Bay’s defense.
The Packers have also been monitoring Parsons’ recovery while attempting to remain competitive.
For Nixon, the potential return of both stars represents an opportunity for Green Bay to become considerably more dangerous.
His message suggests the Packers believe their strongest football is still ahead.
