It is easily one of the most remembered teen dance movies of the 00s with a cult fan following.
Save The Last Dance premiered in 2001, grossing more than $130million (£98million) worldwide and propelled its leading lady, Julia Stiles, to superstardom.
The teen drama follows grieving ballerina Sara Johnson, played by Stiles, who moves to a Chicago high school and falls in love with her classmate, Derek Reynolds, played by Sean Patrick Thomas.
Together, they blend ballet and hip-hop to help her rebuild her confidence and audition for prestigious performing arts school Juilliard.
Alongside Stiles and Thomas, the hit film starred the likes of Kerry Washington, who would also go on to become a Hollywood mega-star.
But while some of the cast have gone on to conquer Hollywood, others have gone in totally different directions.

Earlier this week, Julia sent millennials into a frenzy during an episode of Dancing With The Stars as she recreated her iconic routine.
The actress and Ezra Sosa, her pro partner on the US dance competition, performed a hip-hop and jazz-style routine to Jennifer Lopez's Jenny From the Block to mark the show's Super Bowl Night.
Julia paid homage to the movie's Juilliard dance audition finale, starting her routine in a chair, then mixing in hip-hop with ballet moves just like her character Sara Johnson.
There was an extra surprise in store though as at the mid point of the routine Ezra stepped back to allow Julia to have the floor, before the camera cut to a shot of her pro partner standing with Sean.
Julia's Save The Last Dance co-star nodded his approval at her, perfectly mimicking a famous shot in the film.
The actress got emotional as she gushed about the 'full circle' moment after the dance, saying she 'had the best time'.
'Oh my god. I seriously have been wanting a do-over on that movie for 25 years, and I never knew that I would get it on my favourite TV show on the planet!' she told Entertainment Tonight. 'I loved every minute of it.'
As fans rejoice over the nostalgic moment, the Daily Mail takes a look at what the cast of Save the Last Dance are up to now.

She first disclosed her battle with binge eating in a 2020 interview with Essence. She later detailed the 'toxic' disorder in her 2023 memoir, Thicker Than Water.
Appearing on a Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year, she recalled that it wasn't her relationship with food itself that forced her to seek treatment.
'I was in a real mental health crisis. The thing that actually got me to get help with my eating disorder wasn't the food itself, wasn't the behaviour with the food,' she said. 'It was the suicidal ideation.'
She explained that at the time, she was 'trying to escape life'.
But she eventually realised she needed 'to figure out how to be in life because I was terrified that I was being so mean to myself. That I was in so much pain that it was like inflicting more pain was the only way out of my pain.'
Now, Kerry is happily married to former NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha in 2013, and they share a daughter and son.
