The Cleveland Browns are sitting at 4-2 after Week 6 of the 2026 season, a position almost no one projected for them this early. That record includes a win over the Baltimore Ravens that improved them to 2-0 in the AFC North.
Third wide receiver Jerry Jeudy haven’t been much effective but put on a solid performance against the Ravens which. With the current standings, despite the early shouts of trade possibilities, Cleveland Browns are unlikely to sell Jeudy.
Cleveland Browns unlikely to trade Jerry Jeudy
With the team winning, Cleveland has little incentive to become sellers. Jerry Jeudy has been the name most frequently linked to trade rumors, but dealing him now makes little sense for several reasons.
Despite reduced overall production with 12 catches for 150 yards and no touchdowns so far, Jeudy has delivered in critical situations. Against the Ravens he posted four catches for 69 yards, including a 33-yard reception on the game-winning drive. He also made timely contributions in the win over the Steelers.
Jeudy is currently the clear No. 3 wide receiver behind rookies Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion. Even as a higher-paid option in that role, he still provides reliable veteran production. The Browns do not urgently need the salary-cap space a trade would create.
If Cleveland decides it no longer wants Jeudy long-term, it can revisit the market after the season. Moving him at the deadline while the team is winning and competitive would forfeit a useful piece for relatively little return.
Deshaun Watson strongly backs Jerry Jeudy
Quarterback Deshaun Watson reinforced the case for keeping Jeudy with a clear public endorsement as the team prepared for the Tennessee Titans.
“He’s a true professional. He comes in each and every day, head up, smiling, encouraging everyone, encouraging himself, and he just puts the work in. He knew his opportunities were going to come, and it’s been there. He’s been able to take advantage of it. Everyone sees it. So that’s why you see the love and the happiness for the team because everyone sees the type of person he is off the field, but also the type of teammate and the work he puts in. Everyone loves to see the success that he’s having.” Deshaun Watson said.
Jeudy’s role has shrunk significantly in 2026. Rookies Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion have taken the top two wide-receiver spots, leaving Jeudy as the clear No. 3. Watson’s comments directly address that reduced role. The praise is consistent with earlier public support Watson offered after Jeudy delivered key plays in the Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
