Pittsburgh Steelers WR Germie Bernard caught six of his team-high nine targets for 80 yards and added a four-yard carry in Week 5 versus the Indianapolis Colts.
Why It Matters: Bernard benefited from a few things breaking his way in Week 5, moving up the depth chart after Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) landed on IR earlier in the week. That move was supposed to be a boon to Roman Wilson, but he suffered a dislocated finger on his only target and did not play against after the break. As a result, Bernard could have a three-week window (at least) to prove he deserves to have a regular spot in the rotation. This is obviously a good start. Bernard will be one of the hotter names in waiver-wire articles this week and deserves flex consideration in Week 6 against Tampa Bay.
