Kia (000270.KS) said on the 23rd that it held a Global Kia Dealer Korea Invitational event, bringing major overseas dealers to the country as it expands its purpose-built vehicle (PBV) business.
The event, held from the 20th to the 22nd, was designed to introduce Kia's future vision and business competitiveness directly to global PBV dealers and to strengthen trust and partnerships around the brand.
A total of 33 dealers from 17 countries across four regions — Europe, Canada, Asia-Pacific and the United Arab Emirates — took part. All are selling Kia PBVs in strategic markets for the business. The participants visited key sites including Kia's headquarters, AutoLand Hwaseong and the PBV Experience Center to review the company's PBV operations.
At AutoLand Hwaseong, the dealers toured the PBV production line and the latest automated manufacturing equipment, examining the plant's production processes and quality control capabilities firsthand. They also joined Kia's brand heritage program, which walked them through the company's 80-year history and brand legacy.
"We hope this gave global PBV dealers confidence in the growth potential and vision of PBV, Kia's new core business," a Kia official said. "We will continue to build brand loyalty among global Kia dealers through ongoing dealer invitation programs."
