Job offerings expand outside tech, with Management at 12.4%.
Singapore’s data centre job postings reached 4.6% of all job listings in August, higher than 3.5% last year and more than double the rate from two years ago, according to Indeed.
Singapore is investing heavily in data centres, with PwC forecasting a cumulative $330b in investment by 2050.
Whilst AI and data centres are feared to cause job insecurity and only provide opportunities for tech workers, non-tech workers can also benefit from the boom.
In 2025 to 2026, 21.6% of data centre-related job postings were in software development, but this figure is seconded by Management, accounting for 12.4% of postings.
Industrial Engineering ranks third with 11.3%, followed by IT infrastructure, operations & support at 10.5% and Mechanical Engineering at 5.2%.
Other non-tech occupations include Sales, which stood at 5%, followed by Project Management at 4.1%. Administrative assistance has a 2.5% chunk of job offerings, whilst Data & analytics is at 2.3%.
Indeed said that strong demand for workers may push wages up, especially in areas where labour supply is limited, as skill shortages remain common in Singapore.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW
Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.
Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.
We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.
If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
