With a few months to the presidential election, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has said that all he wants to hear from Rivers State is President Bola Tinubu and nothing more.
Wike made the remark during a meeting in Port Harcourt with supporters of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara and youth leaders who are aligned with him.
He said that fully supporting Tinubu's second term was key to getting important political appointments, better infrastructure, and long-term importance for Rivers State.
Wike said that working with the federal government would help the state stay strong and important in the country's political scene.
The Minister asked party loyalists, youth groups, and local community members to forget old problems, forgive previous mistakes, and fully support President Tinubu.
He said: "Politics is about figuring out where the state stands to gain the most power. Tinubu is the only thing I wish to hear in this state.
"If we continue to act the way we are now, and if we are among the first three states to receive the most votes, we will get more of these positions."
