When was the last time you spent this many straight Sundays watching highlights of Kentucky’s win the night before? It’s become a common occurrence this year, and it’s worth getting used to.
Kentucky’s 21-13 come-from-behind win over Oklahoma Saturday night featured three interceptions in the fourth quarter off Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer, including a 41-yard pick-six from Jordan Castell. Ty Bryant sealed the game on the next possession with an interception.
Also in the fourth quarter is one of the greatest acts of concentration on a catch you will ever see by Kentucky wide receiver Nic Anderson.

With less than nine minutes remaining, Kenny Minchey threw a pass over the middle into the red zone. Anderson battled for the ball as he went to the ground, then somehow miraculously pulled it in for a 17-yard gain down to the 12-yard line.

Playing against his former team, Anderson tied for the Wildcats’ lead with five receptions for a team-high 48 yards. That 17-yard catch was his longest reception of the game.
This season, Anderson has 17 receptions for 197 yards and a touchdown, averaging 11.6 yards per reception.
Because Anderson has missed so much time due to injury in previous seasons, he could apply for a medical redshirt, which would give him one more season in 2027. But for now, the redshirt senior is giving everything he has to help this Kentucky team stay in the College Football Playoff hunt, and the Cats have needed every bit of it.
