The NFL’s historic Paris debut has suffered another disruption, with NFL House closing Saturday amid street protests just 24 hours before the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New Orleans Saints. The development follows the Steelers’ earlier cancellation of their own Paris fan event over security concerns.
The closure adds to the challenges surrounding the league’s first regular-season game in France, although Sunday’s matchup remains scheduled to proceed.
According to ESPN, NFL House closed ahead of the game as demonstrations continued in the French capital.

The decision represents another setback for the league’s efforts to build excitement around its international showcase, with fans losing access to another planned attraction.
Pittsburgh had already cancelled its Steelers House gathering in the Bastille neighborhood following concerns about recent unrest near the event’s location.
However, the disruptions have not resulted in the cancellation or postponement of Sunday’s game at Stade de France.
The NFL previously confirmed that the Saints-Steelers matchup would proceed despite the protests.
League officials have emphasized their coordination with local authorities and security partners while preparing for the international contest.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also expressed confidence in the league’s preparations earlier this week, acknowledging the demonstrations while maintaining that appropriate precautions were being taken.
The Steelers enter the matchup with a 4-2 record, while the Saints stand at 2-4.
Kickoff remains scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at 9:30 a.m. ET, with NFL Network broadcasting the game.
Despite the closures, the international matchup remains a major occasion for both franchises, with thousands of fans expected to attend as the NFL continues expanding its presence across European markets.
