A soldier and his wife won a dream 1940s-themed wedding ceremony after finding love on a military penpal site.
Jane Gordon, 38, and Ryan Thompson, 38, won the once-in-a-lifetime ceremony in a competition - after their long-distance romance captured the hearts of competition judges.
The couple, who were married in 2022, renewed their vows at the nostalgic wartime-style celebration, which was complete with a vintage car and 1940s festivities.
They said: "We're absolutely over the moon to have been chosen.
"The 1940s have always been incredibly special to us because of our family history, our love of living history events, and the military connections that have shaped both our lives."

Their love story began during the pandemic when Ryan, a serving soldier, was deployed overseas.
The pair met through an Armed Forces penpal site and struck up a romance despite being separated by thousands of miles.
Their relationship echoed the wartime love stories of previous generations, with the couple exchanging messages while Ryan was stationed abroad.
It was their military connections that helped them win a competition organised by history museum Eden Camp and Pickering Town CIC to celebrate the area's 'Back to the 1940s' weekend.
Jane's grandfather served in the Polish Army during the Second World War and was unable to return to his homeland after the conflict.

He instead rebuilt his life in England, while her grandmother had been evacuated to North Yorkshire during the war.
Their experiences inspired Jane's lifelong fascination with wartime history.
Jane and Ryan, who married in December 2022, renewed their vows at St Peter and St Paul's Church in Pickering, on October 10.
The couple entered the competition by explaining why they should win through a form where they shared their story.
It saw them travel through the town in a vintage vehicle before continuing their celebrations at Eden Camp's Heritage Hall.
The ceremony coincided with the museum's sell-out Back to the 1940s weekend, which saw visitors transported back in time with wartime sights, sounds and entertainment.

The couple added: "Our own relationship began with long periods apart, exchanging messages overseas, which in many ways echoed a wartime story.
"This vow renewal will give us the chance to celebrate our journey, honour our grandparents, and create special memories with our family and friends."
Their winning entry impressed judges with its military connections, passion for history and resilience in overcoming personal challenges.
Luke Hudman, marketing manager at Eden Camp, said: "The winning entry perfectly captured everything we hoped the competition would celebrate - a love of history and a personal connection to the wartime generation.
"We were delighted to be able to give them the opportunity to renew their vows."
