Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank is expecting her third child with husband Philip Schneider, at the age of 52, she announced Thursday.
Sharing a video of her husband and their twins, daughter Aya and son Ohm, dancing in the dark with neon glow sticks taped to their clothes, Swank wrote on Instagram, “A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December.”
The video features a neon silhouette effect of her husband and twins dancing in the dark. Hilary joins in, revealing a glowing outline of a baby bump complete with a tiny stick-figure baby.
Fans were thrilled by the announcement, with many taking to social media to share how her news inspired them and gave them renewed hope. One wrote, “At 39 I'm still single and childless. You are literally giving me hope that the life I want could still happen for me. Congratulations to you and your beautiful family.”
Hilary replied, “Thank you! It can! I always go by the adage, things happen in their time, not ours, and that has always been the case for me. But of course trusting that, for me, has always been the hardest part. Wishing you unwavering trust and abundant beauty on your journey!”
Hilary and entrepreneur Philip Schneider tied the knot in August 2018 after dating for a year and a half, following an engagement in 2016 when Philip proposed during a trip to Colorado. They exchanged vows in an intimate outdoor ceremony surrounded by a redwood grove at the Santa Lucia Preserve in California. The couple later welcomed their twins, daughter Aya and son Ohm, in April 2023.
Hilary was most recently seen in the drama series Yellowjackets. Created for Showtime by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, the American thriller features an ensemble cast that includes Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, and Samantha Hanratty, alongside Swank.
