Watch: What you may have missed from Bear’s all-purpose breakout and the Cougars’ defensive showcase vs. ISU

There was plenty on the line for No. 8 BYU when it matched up with Iowa State last Saturday.

The Cougars were not only trying to stay unbeaten and keep that perfect record going into a matchup with No. 2 Notre Dame this weekend, but BYU was also missing star running back LJ Martin and all-conference linebacker Isaiah Glasker.

It worked out in the Cougars’ favor, though, as their defense led the day in the team’s 24-10 win over the Cyclones.

While BYU’s offense and special teams had a handful of miscues that kept things closer than perhaps expected, the Cougars never trailed and eventually found enough big plays to earn the double-digit win while holding Iowa State to just 200 total yards.

Take a look back at the sights and sounds from Saturday’s contest — and what BYU coach Kalani Sitake and his players had to say after the victory — in the video above.
