Dayforce to Acquire Ribbon AI Inc. to Advance Agentic Recruiting

Ribbon’s conversational voice and video AI will help organizations screen talent faster, deliver a more engaging candidate experience, and reduce recruiting costs

MINNEAPOLIS and TORONTO, Oct. 23, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Dayforce, Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Ribbon AI Inc. (“Ribbon”), an AI-native recruiting technology company that helps organizations source, screen, and engage qualified talent more quickly and efficiently.

The acquisition will add specialized agentic recruiting capabilities to Dayforce, including Ribbon’s conversational voice and video AI technology, helping organizations conduct high-quality candidate interviews at scale. By automating early-stage screening, Ribbon helps employers move faster, reduce the cost and time associated with traditional candidate interviews, and provide applicants with a more accessible and engaging experience.

“High-volume hiring shouldn’t mean choosing between speed and a strong candidate experience,” said David Ossip, Founder and CEO of Dayforce, Inc. “AI can take on more of the manual, time-sensitive work that slows hiring down, while recruiters focus on engaging talent and making the decisions that matter. Ribbon accelerates our vision for agentic recruiting, helping frontline organizations get the right people into critical roles faster and build a more responsive, resilient workforce.”

Ribbon’s technology is already proven at scale, with hundreds of customers and more than one million completed interviews. In 2026, Ribbon was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in Enterprise for its use of AI agents to conduct human-like, well-researched job interviews.

Ribbon’s voice AI interviewer conducts conversational, two-way interviews around the clock, giving candidates greater flexibility in when and how they participate. Starting with a job description, it can automatically generate interview questions and a scoring rubric from relevant past interviews. Ribbon evaluates candidates based on interview transcripts, helping create a more structured and job-relevant assessment process. Video and other built-in integrity checks can detect unusual audio, gaze, and response-timing patterns. Approximately 90% of Ribbon customers use the recommended default configuration, helping teams deploy interviews quickly and consistently.

Beyond interviewing, Ribbon provides AI-powered sourcing and talent rediscovery capabilities that help employers uncover qualified candidates within their existing talent pools. The technology has been tested across as many as 30 million candidates within a single applicant tracking system and supports candidate outreach through SMS, WhatsApp, and email. Ribbon is also nearing completion of an AI scheduling agent designed to further streamline the hiring workflow.

“Ribbon was built on a simple belief: every candidate deserves a genuine opportunity to be considered, and every recruiter deserves technology that makes hiring better,” said Arsham Ghahramani, Co-Founder and CEO of Ribbon. “Joining Dayforce will allow us to bring our conversational AI, interview intelligence, sourcing, and outreach capabilities to more organizations around the world. Together, we can make hiring faster, more fair, and more personal.”

Following the close of the transaction, Ribbon’s technology will be integrated natively into the new Dayforce Agentic Recruiting experience. The combined capabilities will help Dayforce customers source, screen, evaluate, and engage talent through a more connected, agentic recruiting experience.
