Former Rangers man caps off dream month with strike
Scotland striker Robbie Ure netted his first goal for Sevilla since joining the Spanish giants during the summer.
Ure netted the opening goal on 13 minutes and went on to provide an assist as Sevilla drew 3-3 at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia and cemented their fifth-placed position in Spain’s top flight.
Ure joined Sevilla from Swedish side Sirius in a deal that could total £9 million and has quickly become part of the first-team squad. And after winning his first Scotland cap during the international break, the 22-year-old returning to the domestic fold with a goal.

Ure was alert to pounce on a slack pass back towards his own goal by Levante’s 18-year-old defender Ifeanyi Ndukwe and he rounded goalkeeper Mathew Ryan to net. The former Rangers and Anderlecht youngster then turned provider for Portuguese wide-man Felix Correia, nodding the ball down for him to net from close range.
Levante responded through striker Ivan Romero and while Sevilla tried to hold on for the three points, they looked to be pipped in the second minute of stoppage time when Dela scored the equaliser. However, Isaac Romero netted again for the visitors three minutes later and was sent off for a second booking as part of his celebrations. The scoring wasn’t done there, though, with Ndukwe atoning for his earlier error with an 100th-minute strike to ensure a share of the spoils.
The goal capped off what has been an excellent few weeks for Ure, who made his Scotland debut last month when he started a goalless draw away to Slovenia. He went on to appear as a substitute against Switzerland, North Macedonia and Slovenia again.
Ure, who was taken off after 67 minutes against Levante, has now made eight appearances for Sevilla in La Liga and ended a wait of more than 400 minutes to break his duck for the Andalusian outfit.
Ure is now the fourth Scottish player to have scored in La Liga alongside Stevie Archibald (Barcelona and Espanyol), Oli McBurnie (Las Palmas) and Oli Burke (Alaves).
Over in Italy, another Scotland striker was in action as Che Adams led the line for Torino in their Serie A clash with Udinese.
Adams missed the last international break due to injury, but remains in new head coach Sebastien Pocognoli’s thoughts and played 64 minutes at Stadio Olimpico di Torino on his return to fitness.
Croatian forward Sandro Kulenovic, who came on for Adams, netted the winner within three minutes of entering the pitch as Torino moved up to 12th in the Italian top flight.
Udinese’s Scottish midfielder Lennon Miller was an unused substitute.
