The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested a man accused of producing and selling pornographic videos of his own children, aged five to six, through Telegram.
NCCIA Additional Director Shoaib Khan said on Sunday that a network was involved in distributing such material and recording sexual abuse involving animals. Investigations are under way in Skardu, Multan, Islamabad and southern Punjab.
Separately, the agency has uncovered three Karachi-based companies allegedly involved in producing and selling animated pornographic content exploiting minors, with 42 people taken into custody, NCCIA Deputy Director Shehzad Akbar said. The companies allegedly targeted clients in the United States and Germany and produced customised content on demand.
Khan also announced awareness campaigns at educational institutions to protect children from online exploitation. He said the agency had registered seven cases linked to suspected fraudulent call centres in Islamabad and recovered between 13,000 and 14,000 devices.
He cautioned the public against sharing one-time passwords (OTPs) and PINs, warning of fraudulent banking websites designed to resemble legitimate platforms.
