A teenager wounded in a violent clash in a Melbourne beachside suburb ran to a nearby Woolworths for help after being allegedly slashed during a fight on Mordialloc Pier.
The 18-year-old from Rowville suffered deep cuts to his wrists after he was allegedly slashed with a machete during a clash between two groups of teenagers on the pier about 5.45pm on Sunday, as families and other beachgoers enjoyed the evening nearby.

After he was injured, the teen ran through a children’s park and made his way several hundred metres to the supermarket on Main St, where a member of the public called emergency services.
The teenager was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a trail of blood was still visible in the park on Monday.

Police later arrested three teenage boys after a fight inside the supermarket and are investigating whether that incident was linked to the stabbing.
A 16-year-old from Greater Dandenong and two 15-year-olds from the Knox and Whitehorse areas were released without charge.
Police are continuing to investigate.
