Pafos began their Conference League league phase campaign with a 3-1 defeat away to Atalanta in Bergamo on Thursday.
The hosts were ahead inside the first minute through Elmas and doubled their lead from the penalty spot through Raspadori in the 18th minute. Scamacca made it 3-0 in the 44th minute.
Pafos pulled one back late on, with Biel scoring in the 88th minute.
The Cypriot side also suffered a injury setback when David Luiz was forced off with a muscle problem in the 38th minute.
Head coach Ricardo Sa Pinto was unhappy with the officiating and claimed his side were denied two possible penalties that could have changed the course of the game.
Defender Nikolas Ioannou acknowledged the quality of the opposition but said Pafos were better organised after the break.
The result leaves Pafos 32nd in the table without a point. They turn their attention to a domestic fixture against APOEL before hosting Riga in their next European outing, where they will be looking to claim their first points of the competition.
