The ministry issued the statement to address growing public anxiety, assuring citizens that daily life would continue without disruption.
"Kenya remains open, with no restrictions on travel, trade or public gatherings. Remain calm, stay vigilant and follow official Ministry of Health updates," the ministry said.
How Ebola spreads
Authorities moved to correct widespread misconceptions about how the virus is transmitted, emphasising that Ebola does not spread through the air.
The ministry warned Kenyans to avoid direct contact with the blood or body fluids of anyone who is sick with or has died from Ebola, adding that residents should call 719 for guidance if they have concerns.
Containment measures underway
The Ministry of Health said that early detection and quarantine protocols are already in place and are helping to slow the spread of the disease.
"Early detection and quarantine are helping to limit the spread of Ebola and protect the public. Remain calm, stay vigilant and call 719 for guidance," the ministry stated.
Officials urged the public to rely solely on information from the Ministry of Health rather than unverified sources, as misinformation risks amplifying unnecessary panic.
