Publicist Emily Vespa has a new home.
The veteran entertainment and talent rep has joined Birch Public Relations, a boutique publicity firm led by founder Jillian Roscoe and partner Alla Plotkin. Vespa joins Birch after a tenure at Kovert Creative, a company she joined in 2021 and at which she repped talent in comedy, TV and entertainment.
At Birch, Vespa will work with company leaders Roscoe and Plotkin in developing strategic campaigns on behalf of their roster while continuing to support her current clients and new signs. Her talent roster includes D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Adam Pally, Ed Weeks, Zarna Garg, Brandon Kyle Goodman and Fiona Dourif. Prior to Kovert, Vespa worked at PMK*BNC and PMK/HBH. She started her career at Patricola-Lust PR.
“I’m excited to join Jillian and Alla at Birch and build this next chapter together,” Vespa said in a statement. “They are incredibly talented publicists who lead with integrity and generosity and are deeply committed to their clients and team. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and relationships to Birch and finding creative, strategic ways to elevate the profiles of both established and emerging talent.”
Said Birch’s Roscoe and Plotkin: “We are thrilled to welcome Emily to Birch. She has an impeccable reputation, strong industry relationships, years of experience, and her strategic and thoughtful approach makes her a great fit for the agency.
Roscoe founded Birch in 2023 after a run of 21 years at ID-PR, where she rose to senior vp. Plotkin, also an alum of ID, spent 16 years at the firm before joining Birch as partner shortly after its founding. In addition to Plotkin and Roscoe, Vespa will work alongside Kaitlyn Horton, Macy Rivet, Emilia Caligiuri and Dani Tanner. Birch’s roster includes Sarah Paulson, Donald Glover, Sharon Horgan, Katie Dippold, Jeremy Allen White, Shabana Azeez, Nicholas Braun, John Cho, James Marsden, Malcolm Spellman, Dave Franco, Tituss Burgess, Charlie Hall, Bette Midler, Mandy Moore, Fred Hechinger, Will Price, Nick Kroll, Edmund Donovan, Shirley Chen, Darrell Britt-Gibson, and many more.
