Lenovo showed a preview version of its AI Host P7 at CSDN's 2026 1024 Programmers' Day and AI Builders Conference on October 24, and opened an early-access program inviting the first users to try the device in real coding and office work before it goes on general sale, according to IT Home and Leiphone. Lenovo first unveiled the palm-sized AI host concept in May; the preview adds detailed specs and software features.
The device weighs about 300 grams and is built around two domestic chips. The first is Houmo AI's M50, a compute-in-memory inference chip that Houmo says delivers 160 TOPS at 10 watts. The second is CIX Technology's P1 agent SoC, made on a 6nm process with a 12-core Armv9.2 CPU and a 30 TOPS NPU, for 45 TOPS of heterogeneous compute. CIX says the P1 handles system operation, task execution and scheduling, and can work with external accelerators to run a 122B model with 128K context at 50 tokens per second.
According to Lenovo, the P7 preview runs models of up to 125B parameters with 256K context locally. It ships with a local model library that includes Qwen3.8-Flash-Next, Qwen3.8-27B and Qwen3.6-35B-A3B, plus models for image design, document recognition, speech recognition and speech synthesis. Lenovo says its in-house AI computing architecture, using mixed INT4 and INT8 quantization, scores on average 98.3% of the full-precision BF16 baseline across four benchmarks. These are company figures and have not been independently tested.
Lenovo pitches the P7 as a personal token hub. A token manager lets users point coding tools and agent apps at local models with an API address, so routine model calls stay on the device instead of drawing on paid cloud quotas. A task mode runs agent jobs around the clock, with progress viewable from phones, tablets and PCs. Lenovo's Tianxi AI comes built in, and an Auto mode routes each request between local and cloud models based on its complexity.
Sun Ke, who leads the AI host product, said real productivity should not start with calculating token costs. Lenovo did not give a price or release date, saying only that the P7 will go on sale soon.
