The 2nd day of the 6th sitting of the Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) of the 8th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh was held on Tuesday at the Assembly Secretariat.
The sitting was chaired by Dr. Mohesh Chai, Chairman of the PAC.
As part of the proceedings, officials of the Tax and Excise Department appeared before the Committee and tendered oral evidence on matters arising from the reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India pertaining to the department.
The Committee deliberated at length on the audit observations reflected in the CAG reports and examined the explanations and clarifications presented by the departmental representatives.
The sitting was attended by PAC members Topin Ete, MLA and Toko Tatung, MLA.
Also present were the Principal Accountant General, Arunachal Pradesh, Special Secretary (Planning), Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Tadar Meena, Additional Secretary Agaab Mossang and Under Secretary Kheto Lowang among others.
