The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will conduct its 2026 Land Combat Fire Power Demonstration at the Battle Training Camp in Bundase on Friday, October 30, involving live firing of heavy weapons, battle drills and other tactical manoeuvres.
In a press release issued on Friday, October 23, the GAF said the annual exercise was organised for students of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.
The demonstration is expected to bring together government officials, Defence Attachés, military personnel and other invited guests.
The Armed Forces has cautioned residents of Bundase and surrounding communities against panicking when they hear gunfire and explosions during rehearsals and the main exercise.
It explained that the sounds would result from the planned military activities and urged residents to remain calm as the demonstration takes place.
The GAF also assured the public that all necessary safety measures had been put in place ahead of the exercise.
It appealed to residents and the general public to cooperate with the military to ensure the successful conduct of the demonstration.
