NFL analyst Michael Robinson has apologized to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts after questioning his injury and commitment to the team.
The analyst faced criticism for his remarks, which came amid a difficult stretch for Philadelphia and uncertainty surrounding its star quarterback.

Robinson shared his apology on X, formerly Twitter, acknowledging that his comments were wrong.
"My official apology to @JalenHurts @Eagles and the entire fanbase. My comments were wrong. No excuse," Robinson wrote.
In a separate statement, Robinson offered a fuller explanation of his regret.
"I want to sincerely apologize to Jalen Hurts, his family, the Philadelphia Eagles organization and fan base for my comments last Thursday. They were unfounded and I never should've speculated on a health issue of a player nor his commitment to his team."
The apology follows comments Robinson made on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay Kickoff." He suggested that Hurts might be using his health situation to avoid criticism during the Eagles' disappointing start to the season.
Robinson questioned whether Hurts was removing himself from the spotlight as Philadelphia struggled. His remarks drew backlash, particularly because the quarterback's absence was tied to a medical issue rather than a routine football injury.
The Eagles initially announced that Hurts would miss their Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers after doctors detected a blood clot in his calf.
On Monday, the team and his agent revealed a more serious diagnosis involving deep vein thrombosis and blood clots in both lungs. They said Hurts was clinically stable and expected to make a full recovery.
The new information has put Robinson's earlier comments in a different light. Speculating about a player's health without confirmed information can carry serious consequences, especially when it questions their professionalism and commitment.
