The Pinktober events making a difference this month
It’s October, which as you may know, is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Also known as Pinktober, it’s an important global initiative that reminds women to get checked and also get involved in initiatives that help raise funds for charities working to find cures and support those going through it.
Here are some initiatives in Dubai to know about this month.
Free screenings
Pink Caravan

After delivering more than 19,000 free screenings to women last year, throughout October, nine fixed Pink Caravan clinics will operate across the UAE: Mushrif Mall in Abu Dhabi, Mall of Al Ain & Makani Zakher in Al Ain, City Walk in Dubai, Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Dhaid Mall in Sharjah, Mall of UAQ in Umm Al Quwain, RAK Mall in Ras Al Khaimah, Lulu Mall in Fujairah and Marsa Ajman, providing communities across the country with convenient access to breast cancer screening throughout the month. Beyond the fixed clinics, Pink Caravan’s Mobile Clinic and Mini Mobile Clinics will travel across the UAE throughout October, extending breast health awareness and screening into communities across the country.
Follow @thepinkcaravan for the latest information on the mobile clinic locations.
