Founded and self-funded by financial services technology entrepreneur and broker Dan Yorke, the platform brings records of accounts, investments, pensions, insurance and property together in one place. Users can upload documents or note where originals are held, set renewal and review reminders, and download an Executor Pack summarising their recorded information.
Yorke developed Capsafa after repeatedly seeing missing paperwork hold up applications at his mortgage and business finance brokerage.
The launch addresses a gap in household financial knowledge: research commissioned by Capsafa found that 25% of UK adults were not confident their family could find and understand all their financial affairs without their help.
The OnePoll survey covered savings, bank accounts, investments and debts, highlighting how much information can depend on one person knowing where to look.
Yorke, who has worked in technology for the financial services sector since 1998, said: “Every provider gives its customers a view of the product they hold with them. But keeping track of how it all fits together is still largely the customers’ job. As they change jobs, move house and take out new policies, it becomes increasingly difficult to manage.
“I see a commercial opportunity in making that job easier. Brokers, advisers and solicitors also spend time chasing information their clients struggle to find. They have a good reason to help people get organised, and they’re already speaking to them at moments when it matters. That’s why professional partnerships are central to how we want to grow Capsafa.”
Launched in September 2026, Capsafa does not require financial account passwords or login credentials. Information is encrypted during storage and transfer, with compulsory two-factor authentication on every login.
The platform is self-funded to date, with future revenue planned through optional premium features and commercial partnerships. Its core service, including the Executor Pack, will remain free. The company is seeking professional partners, including mortgage brokers, financial advisers, accountants and will-writing firms, to offer the organiser to their clients. Capsafa does not sell user data.
The service complements professional advice. It does not provide financial advice, manage money or recommend financial products.
