DIMAPUR: Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will organise the 27th Hornbill Night Carnival 2026 as part of its 50th Golden Jubilee celebrations.
According to KCCI, application forms for stalls will be available at its office from October 26, while the last date for submission has been fixed as November 7, 2026.
As part of the jubilee celebrations, KCCI has encouraged indigenous entrepreneurs to participate by setting up stalls and showcasing innovative products. The 10-day carnival will provide entrepreneurs with an opportunity to test new business ideas, expand their customer base and gain greater market exposure.
To promote sound business practices, all stall owners will be required to maintain a daily sales register throughout the event.
KCCI informed that awards will be presented in three categories at the conclusion of the carnival: Best Indigenous Food, Best Indigenous Product, and Highest Sales Based on Investment Ratio.
Marking the golden jubilee year, a dedicated stage will also be set up for artists to showcase their talents during the evening festivities.
The chamber further stated that exorbitant pricing would not be permitted during the carnival. Stall owners have been directed to maintain reasonable and uniform prices throughout the 10-day event to safeguard the interests of tourists and local residents.
