Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo, a Republican, at an October fundraiser. He was urging supporters to convince people close to them who haven’t voted yet. Nevada has universal mail balloting. A 2024 state Supreme Court ruling allows mail ballots received after Election Day to be counted. Lombardo has criticized that ruling. In 2023, he sought legislation to undo universal mail voting, but lawmakers refused to take it up. In 2025, he vetoed a voter ID bill he had first supported. Nevada voters are expected to weigh in on a voter ID ballot measure he backs this November. Lombardo faces Democratic Attorney General Aaron Ford. (Nevada Current)
