The Duke Basketball team is preparing for what should be another exciting college basketball season as the 2026-27 campaign approaches. With Jon Scheyer once again having a loaded roster, expectations are high for the Blue Devils.

But they are used to that.

Duke is going to have one of the best rosters in the game this year, and they should be one of the favorites to win it all. The Blue Devils are ranked No. 2 in both preseason polls and are hoping to get off to a good start.

The future of the program however is also in focus. That starts with the 2027 class and moves to future classes. Here is the latest in Duke basketball recruiting as the season looms.

Duke offers two prospects in 2028 class

As the season approaches, Duke is out on the recruiting trail. On Wednesday, they offered two top 10 recruits in the 2028 class.

Prospects Josiah Rose and Mason Collins took to their social media accounts to reveal that Duke had offered them. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Rose hails from Dallas, Texas and is ranked No. 7 nationally and the No. 1 point guard in the class. Duke recently got involved in his recruitment, and now they have seen enough to offer him a scholarship.

Collins is a 6-foot-6, 195-pound small forward from Wilmington, Delaware. He has 13 offers in his recruitment so far and is ranked No. 8 nationally and the No. 3 small forward in the class.

Duke now has four offers out in the 2028 class, one where they have yet to land a commitent.

Duke visits in-state prospect

The 2029 recruiting cycle is still in its early stages but Duke is showing some interest in an in-state prospect.

Greensboro native Grant Duggins is drawing significant interest from programs, including UNC, NC State and now Duke. Both UNC and Duke were at his school for a visit on Wednesday as the pursuit amps up.

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward will be one of the top recruits in the 2029 class when rankings are released.

Egypt Dean visits

During Tuesday's big exhibition win over Tennessee, the Blue Devils had some special visitors, including singer Alicia Keys. She was at the game with her son, Egypt Dean, who is a 2029 shooting guard out of California.

Dean has just one offer so far, Nevada. But that will change as his recruitment picks up.

With him being on campus for the visit it signals interest from both sides. This will be a recruitment to continue to watch.
