Huawei appears to have a new smartwatch in the works. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station recently revealed the existence of a device called the Huawei Watch Air through a post on Weibo. However, Huawei has not officially confirmed the wearable yet.
The “Air” branding strongly suggests a thinner and lighter form factor. Apple, Samsung, and other major tech companies have consistently used the Air label for their slimmer products. As a result, this naming convention points toward a lightweight smartwatch design. Still, no one should draw firm conclusions from the name alone since Huawei has shared nothing about the device.

Beyond the name itself, very little is known about the Watch Air right now. No hardware specifications, display details, battery life figures, or health tracking features have surfaced so far. Additionally, no certification filings or model numbers have appeared in any regulatory database. This lack of documentation suggests the device is likely still in its early development stages.
It also remains unclear whether the Watch Air will launch as an entirely new product line or a slimmer variant within an existing series. Huawei currently offers a wide range of wearables. These include the Watch 5, Watch GT 7 Pro, Watch Ultimate 2, and the recently launched Watch 10th Anniversary Edition. That special edition runs HarmonyOS 6.0 and starts at 2,799 yuan (approximately Rs 109,000).
According to reports, Huawei may unveil the Watch Air before the end of 2026. However, no specific launch date or pricing information has leaked yet. The company also has several other products in its pipeline right now. These include the Xingyao (Star Shine) smartphone sub-brand and the Enjoy 100 entry-level phone series.
For now, the Huawei Watch Air remains just a name and a promise. More details will likely emerge through certification databases and additional leaks in the coming weeks. Until then, potential buyers should treat all available information as unconfirmed speculation.
