Mike Vorkunov: "We've traded moodiness for giddiness." The Timberwolves come to NYC with their new backcourt of Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball. Wolves coach Chris Finch said Minny checked in with the Hornets on Ball a few times before they actually got him. While Ball and Edwards could be dynamic on the court, Finch is treasuring the attitude change Ball has brought to the team. "He's always in a great mood," Finch said of adding Ball. "Always come in smiling. He and Anthony have a shared quality: they're really hard to stay mad at. And they do some things that you want to get mad at. And they have a reflective joy... We refered to ourselves as a moody team in the last couple of years at times and it's probably gotten in our way. We've traded moodiness for giddiness."
