KOTA KINABALU: Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan fixed Friday morning for further directions on submissions in the inquest into the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir.
He said the inquest concluded hearing all 83 witnesses today.
He added that the court would discuss the next steps at 9am on Friday.
"With that, I believe we have concluded all the deponents in this inquest. I seek your in-depth submissions," he said.
He said this after the last witness, investigating officer Inspector Wong Yew Zhun, testified on the 96th day of the inquest.
Amir also said the grounds of judgment would be delivered in Bahasa Malaysia.
He cited the need to make it easier for the public to understand the findings.
The court was told that no further witnesses would be called on Friday.
The focus will now shift to directions on submissions.
Zara was found unconscious on the ground floor of her school hostel on July 16, 2025.
She was pronounced dead the following day at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Her remains were exhumed on Aug 9, 2025.
A post-mortem examination was conducted the following day at the Forensic Medicine Department of QEH.

All five pleaded not guilty.
The inquest began on Sept 3, 2025, to establish the cause and circumstances of Zara's death.
