Social media activist VeryDarkMan has taken to social media to call out the political alignment between Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and President Bola Tinubu, arguing that ordinary Nigerians should not assume political elites will always put their interests first.
VeryDarkMan’s comments followed Adeleke’s public declaration of support for Tinubu’s second-term bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The governor made the declaration on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, while speaking at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Reacting to the development, VeryDarkMan said the political contest surrounding the 2026 Osun governorship election was effectively a battle involving the APC and forces aligned with the same political establishment.
He also pointed to the relationship between Adeleke and his nephew, Afrobeats star Davido, who was actively involved in his uncle’s re-election campaign.
VeryDarkMan said: “What happened in the Osun Election was APC vs APC. Davido’s uncle is actually APC… The elites don’t sacrifice themselves for you. Was it not the same Davido that took Cubana Chief Priest to go and meet the President with Seyi Tinubu?.”
