The Sindh government is contacting more than 100 companies to expand internship and employment opportunities for students and graduates through its I Work for Sindh platform, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said.
The platform has attracted 5.19 million visits, with 136,547 registered candidates and 721 participating companies. It has listed 31,270 job opportunities, of which 24,766 remain active, while candidates have submitted 473,339 applications. These figures reflect advertised vacancies and applications, not confirmed job placements.
The government is also promoting professional development by offering access to more than 1,800 internationally recognized short training courses. So far, 4,620 candidates have completed training, while another 5,789 are enrolled in different programs.
According to Memon, the government is preparing a system to automatically add public- and private-sector vacancies to the platform. Initial implementation is planned within the next one-and-a-half to two months. A daily job alert service is also being developed to notify candidates about newly available positions and help them stay informed about employment opportunities.
