‘Rise and Fall’ Season 2: Tej Pratap Yadav quits Prime Video series due to legal obligations

The latest episode of Rise and Fall Season 2 witnessed the unexpected exit of Tej Pratap Yadav due to certain legal obligations even as the prospect of nominations looms large on the contestants.

The episode began with comedian Sanket Bhosale entering the Tower in a Sanjay Dutt-inspired avatar. Greeting the contestants in his signature ‘Baba’ style, Sanket joked, “Mere se zyada Rise and Fall kisne dekha hai yaar life mein, mere life ke upar pura show bana diya... maja aa gaya”

The banter continued as Shehzad Poonawalla recalled Tej Pratap’s Sanjay Dutt avatar during the Bollywood-themed party last week. Sanket then joins the duo in recreating Sanjay Dutt’s iconic walk.

The light-hearted mood, however, gives way to tension as Sehwag announces the week’s elimination. With Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Gautam Gulati, Kajal Raghwani, Raj Grover and Kaira Anu nominated, the Workers are first surprised to learn that no one from the Basement will be eliminated this week.

The bigger shock followed when Sehwag revealed that Tej Pratap will have to leave the Tower. The announcement leaves everyone emotional, with Tej explaining, “Kuch majbooriyaan hai jo ki jaana padega mujhe”.

Reflecting on his journey, Tej Pratap shared that he got the chance to make new friends and felt loved by everyone in the tower, adding that he hopes to reunite with them when the grand finale takes place.

Sehwag clarified that certain legal obligations have led to Tej Pratap’s exit. Before leaving, Tej sought Swara Bhasker’s blessings, explaining that she reminded him of his mother whenever she served him food in the Penthouse.

Sehwag then announces another: Workers nominated for elimination this week will face the axe next week too.

Following Tej Pratap’s exit, three wildcard contestants — Rishabh Jaiswal, Jashwanth Bopanna and Sonam Malik — enter the Tower. Rishabh enters the Penthouse, while Jashwanth and Sonam are sent to the Basement.

Produced by Banijay Asia, Rise and Fall Season 2 is hosted by Virender Sehwag. It streams on Prime Video, with new episodes dropping every day at noon.
