By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 19 year old domestic of Douglas Village, Orange Walk District, has been charged with traffic offences.
She is Irainy Yoanie Marin.
Police say that around 8:15am on Friday, October 23, officers on mobile patrol on Douglas Road stopped a black Meilun motorcycle travelling from San Juan Village toward the Philip Goldson Highway.
Marin, the rider, was asked for her driver’s licence but could not produce it. Officers also found no insurance disc or licence sticker on the motorcycle, and she allegedly said she did not have valid insurance or a motor vehicle licence.
She was taken to the Trial Farm Police Sub Station, and the motorcycle was impounded.
Marin was charged with failing to produce a driving permit, using a motor vehicle not covered by third party risk insurance and using an unlicensed motor vehicle. She chose to remain silent when cautioned.
