Lotte Group said on the 18th that it held the second Lotte Love Family Festival on the 16th, bringing together employees and their families.
Co-organized by Lotte Group and the Lotte Group Labor Union Council, the event was designed to recognize employees' achievements over the past year and promote cooperation between labor and management. After debuting last year at Lotte World Adventure Seoul, the festival expanded this year to run simultaneously at Lotte World Adventure Busan.
About 17,000 people attended, including Lotte employees and their families, recipients of the group's "Mom-Friendly Family Award" under its social contribution program, children participating in the "Mom-Friendly Dream Attic" initiative, and athletes from Lotte's sports teams for people with disabilities.
The group installed large-scale painting panels depicting its new growth businesses, including biotechnology and secondary battery materials, and invited participants to color them together. Message banners reflecting the characteristics of each affiliate were displayed throughout the venue. Separate events were arranged for employees with multiple children and for the families of athletes on the company's sports teams for people with disabilities. Families of employees who had a third child this year received a model car key for a Kia Carnival, a stroller and gift sets of snacks.
"Our employees and their families are a vital asset and a driving force behind Lotte's growth," a Lotte official said. "We will continue to build a corporate culture that balances work and family life."
