PETALING JAYA: Motorists were caught in traffic jams lasting up to an hour along several major roads around Bandar Sunway here today, with even motorcyclists struggling to get through the congestion.
Several motorists took to social media to express their frustration over the unusually heavy traffic.
Among them was Threads user @alvinlai99, who uploaded a video showing him taking an alternative route on his motorcycle.
This followed a road obstruction caused by a car that broke down near PJS 7.
Another user, @yusof300389, said it was the first time he had been caught in a traffic jam in the area in his 20 years of riding a motorcycle there.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Highway Authority, in a Facebook post, reported slow-moving traffic on several highways around Bandar Sunway.
These included the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), from Persiaran Tujuan towards Bandar Sunway. On the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), traffic was congested northbound from IOI Puchong to the Sunway interchange and from the PJS Toll Plaza to the Cable Bridge. Southbound traffic was slow from Jalan Majlis to the PJS Toll Plaza.
