Here is the latest team news ahead of Benfica v Celtic in the Europa League at Estadio da Luz on Thursday night.
Celtic will look to grab their first Europa League points this campaign as they face a daunting clash with Benfica at Estadio da Luz in the Europa League on Thursday night (kick-off: 8pm).
Martin O’Neill’s men responded to three consecutive defeats before the international break with a comfortable 2-0 win away to Motherwell on Sunday, and now they’ll look to get their European campaign off and running after a disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Ferencvaros in their opening game last month.
As for their hosts, Benfica enter the match with nine wins in their last 10 matches in all competitions. As part of that impressive run, Marco Silva’s side opened their Europa League campaign with a 2-0 win away to AC Milan, and they’ll be looking to flex their muscles further when Celtic come to town.
