The 63-year-old has admitted to deceiving customers by claiming that the artworks he sold were by Warhol. He will also be ordered to repay the equivalent of just over 25 million kronor that he earned from the fraud.
An accomplice is alleged to have posed as an employee of an auction house and issued false certificates of authenticity for the artworks. The accomplice was sentenced to probation last year.
