General Entertainment Authority Named among Saudi Arabia’s Top 70 Brands in Social Responsibility and Sustainability for 2026
The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has been selected among Saudi Arabia’s top 70 brands in social responsibility and sustainability for 2026, according to a ranking published by Forbes Middle East in partnership with the National Center for Responsibility and Studies, recognizing the efforts of Saudi entities in promoting social responsibility and achieving sustainable development.
GEA was included in the category of leading Saudi government institutions in social responsibility and sustainability. The ranking was based on the scale and impact of contributions and programs delivered, taking into account the performance of the selected entities over the past five years.
The ranking highlighted GEA’s efforts to integrate sustainability into entertainment and cultural activities, nurture creative talent, develop national capabilities, and support sustainable economic growth, contributing to the social and economic impact of the entertainment sector.
GEA has implemented several community initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of life and expanding access to entertainment activities. These include empowering people with disabilities by integrating them into employment opportunities during entertainment seasons and events, providing dedicated spaces to showcase their talents and creativity, and offering senior citizens free admission to entertainment season events in partnership with the Tawakkalna app, encouraging their participation in entertainment activities and programs.
GEA’s initiatives have also extended to supporting the children of fallen service members and orphans by organizing dedicated entertainment programs and events, as well as providing entertainment experiences for beneficiaries of social care homes, with the aim of improving their quality of life and promoting community participation.
As part of its efforts to support family stability, GEA organized two editions of the “Laylat Al-Omar” (A Night to Remember) mass wedding initiative in 2025 and 2026, benefiting 1,600 brides and grooms from across the Kingdom. The initiative was implemented in partnership with government entities, private-sector companies, and development associations.
GEA has also prioritized empowering the nonprofit sector by supporting the establishment of associations and nonprofit organizations specializing in entertainment and strengthening their participation in implementing community programs and initiatives. Its efforts have also included reducing food waste by collecting surplus food from restaurants participating in entertainment events, in cooperation with the Saudi Food Bank (Eta’am), contributing to sustainability and the efficient use of resources.
Forbes Middle East is a publication specializing in business, economics, and rankings, while the National Center for Responsibility and Studies focuses on promoting a culture of social responsibility within the business sector.
This recognition reflects GEA’s role in developing a sustainable entertainment sector whose contributions extend beyond organizing events and overseeing sector development to playing an active role in social responsibility, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
