Saquon Barkley trade interest emerges
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has become the subject of trade speculation ahead of the NFL’s November 10 deadline. Published commentary has identified the Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks as possible destinations.
The discussion remains hypothetical, with no confirmed offer or agreement identified in that coverage. Barkley’s contract and hamstring injury are important considerations, and Philadelphia has ruled him out for its Week 6 game against Carolina.

Saquon Barkley’s 2026 production
Saquon Barkley has recorded 182 rushing yards on 36 carries across 4 appearances in the 2026 regular season, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. He also has 4 receptions for 8 receiving yards.
Barkley injured his hamstring against the Los Angeles Rams on October 4 and missed Philadelphia’s Week 5 game against Jacksonville. The Eagles have also ruled him out for Week 6 against Carolina, extending the interruption to his season.

Saquon Barkley’s contract complicates a trade
Barkley signed a 2-year contract extension worth $41.2 million in new money with Philadelphia in March 2025. The agreement included $36 million guaranteed and additional incentives, according to the NFL.
That financial commitment makes a trade more complicated than simply finding a team that wants an established running back. Any potential deal would require the Eagles and an interested club to assess salary obligations, guarantees and the compensation Philadelphia could receive.

Jacksonville Jaguars offer a possible landing spot
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been suggested as a possible destination for Saquon Barkley in trade commentary. The franchises previously completed a running back deal when Jacksonville traded Tank Bigsby to Philadelphia for 2026 fifth- and sixth-round draft picks.
That transaction provides background to the discussion, but it does not establish a current pursuit of Barkley. The published destination speculation identifies no confirmed Jacksonville offer.

Jacksonville Jaguars would weigh the cost
Jacksonville’s backfield includes second-year running back Bhayshul Tuten and veteran Chris Rodriguez Jr. Travis Etienne left the Jaguars to sign with the New Orleans Saints in March 2026.
Any potential pursuit of Saquon Barkley would require Jacksonville to evaluate its existing backfield, the financial implications and Philadelphia’s requested compensation. The published destination discussion remains speculative and identifies no confirmed Jaguars offer.

Minnesota Vikings enter the trade discussion
The Minnesota Vikings are another team named in recent speculation about Barkley’s possible availability. The discussion comes amid questions about Philadelphia’s direction after several notable roster moves, but it does not establish that Minnesota has contacted the Eagles about acquiring him.
For Minnesota, any potential pursuit would involve weighing Barkley’s established production against the cost of a trade and his remaining contract. Available reporting does not confirm a Vikings offer, negotiations, or a decision to pursue him.

Minnesota Vikings would need a clear reason
Barkley’s previous production provides a measurable basis for interest. In 2024, his first season with Philadelphia, he rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 regular-season games, according to NFL statistics.
That performance demonstrates the level of impact a healthy Barkley has delivered, but past results cannot guarantee similar production in another offense. Minnesota would need to weigh his current injury, contract, and potential trade cost before committing.

Seattle Seahawks have a running back question
Seahawks Wire proposed Saquon Barkley as a possible trade target for Seattle on October 8. The article discussed the Seahawks’ backfield after Kenneth Walker III left in free agency to join Kansas City.
The report described Seattle as outside the NFL’s top 10 rushing teams at the time. Rookie Jadarian Price had also gone on injured reserve with a chest injury. Those circumstances explain the proposed fit, but the article did not report confirmed Seahawks interest or a trade approach.

Seattle Seahawks must compare production and price
The proposed Seattle fit centers on the Seahawks’ running back situation. Evaluating a possible trade for Saquon Barkley would involve comparing his recent production, health and contract with the cost of acquiring him.
Barkley averaged 5.8 yards per carry and rushed for 2,005 yards in 2024. His 2025 production declined to 1,140 yards on 280 carries, averaging 4.1 yards per attempt. Those contrasting seasons provide context for assessing what he could contribute to another offense.

Philadelphia Eagles face a difficult decision
Philadelphia entered the 2026 season with Barkley as a central part of its rushing attack, but the team has also made significant roster changes. Recent reporting described trades involving wide receiver A.J. Brown and center Cam Jurgens, prompting speculation about Philadelphia’s broader direction.
Trading Barkley would be another major decision because of his production, contract and importance to the offense. However, reports of other roster moves do not indicate the Eagles plan to trade their star running back before the deadline.

Saquon Barkley injured his hamstring during Philadelphia’s 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on October 4. He finished with 2 carries for 8 yards before leaving the game.
Barkley missed the October 11 matchup against Jacksonville and has also been ruled out for Week 6 against Carolina. His recovery remains a significant consideration in assessing his immediate availability and any hypothetical trade.

Philadelphia Eagles need backfield depth
Philadelphia’s backfield injuries have extended beyond Saquon Barkley. Tank Bigsby went on injured reserve with a core muscle injury, and Will Shipley joined him there on October 16 after injuring his foot against Jacksonville.
With Barkley also ruled out against Carolina, Dameon Pierce is in line to start and Carson Steele provides another active-roster option. Jaydon Blue and Ian Wheeler offer additional depth on the practice squad.

Saquon Barkley’s future remains uncertain
The Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks have appeared as possible destinations in commentary about Saquon Barkley. Those suggestions remain hypothetical, with no confirmed offer or agreement identified in the destination coverage.
As of October 17, Barkley remains with Philadelphia and has been ruled out for Week 6 against Carolina. His recovery, contract and the Eagles’ plans will shape any decisions about his future.
