The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has been conferred with the religious title of Iya Adini (Mother of Faith) by the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT).
The honour was bestowed on her by NASFAT’s Zamfara State branch during its annual Women’s Week programme in recognition of her humanitarian service, commitment to religious values and community development.
The event also featured a fundraising appeal for the completion of the NASFAT Jumu’ah Mosque in Gusau and attracted Islamic leaders, women representatives and other stakeholders.

Presenting the First Lady at the event, the Amirah of NASFAT’s Gusau branch, Hajiya Khadija Lawal, described her as a role model and philanthropist whose commitment to the welfare of others had inspired women and communities across the state.
In her response, Hajiya Huriyya thanked the association for considering her worthy of the title, describing it as both a privilege and a call to greater responsibility.
She said the recognition would encourage her to continue promoting Islamic values, religious awareness, peace and unity across Zamfara State.
The First Lady also prayed for the wisdom and strength to uphold the values associated with the title, while asking Almighty Allah to reward NASFAT for the honour.
The association said the recognition underscored the importance of humanitarian service, religious commitment and community engagement in promoting peaceful coexistence and social development.
