Life after reality TV can be a tough adjustment for many stars, but Christall Kay says leaving the spotlight was exactly what she needed. The former Real Housewives of Johannesburg cast member sat down with DRUM to share where life has taken her since the cameras stopped rolling and what fans can look forward to next.

Christall Kay on leaving the cameras behind

Rather than viewing her exit from the show as a loss, Christall has embraced it as an opportunity to rediscover herself. She told DRUM that the break brought a calm and groundedness she had not felt in a long time, allowing her to pour her energy into what truly matters — her family.

With her son entering his teenage years, Christall says being present for him has become her priority. From helping with homework to simply being available during a pivotal stage of his development, she describes motherhood in this season as one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.

The TV personality also reflected on how the transition shifted her perspective on fame. She shared that real life, with all its everyday challenges, turned out to be just as meaningful as performing for a massive audience, a realisation that surprised even her.

New music on the horizon

Beyond family life, Christall Kay has not been sitting still creatively. She has been working on new music, with a track called Saviour set to make a statement. The song is aimed squarely at those who doubted or spoke against her, essentially a musical response to her critics.

It is a bold move from someone who could have easily faded into post-reality TV obscurity, and it signals that Christall Kay is far from done making noise, just on her own terms now.
