How to write thank you for inviting us messages well

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, relationship coach, life coach and author, Allan Lawrence, argued that you should always express your gratitude in a touching way after being invited to an event. He said:

Start by registering your sincere gratitude for being part of a special moment, because not everyone gets a chance to be invited. Prove to them (the one who invited you) how you really appreciate the honour extended to you by the fact that they sat and thought of you to be part of a great milestone, for instance, in their lives. Get a bit personal by telling them how you actually felt great on the invitation and on the great day as well. Ensure your words are carefully selected.

The relationship expert also noted that expressing gratitude for invitations strengthens the bond between you and the person who invited you. He explained:

A simple "thank you" shows appreciation for their thoughtfulness and effort in including you in their important event. Thanking someone, for instance, for a wedding invitation is a way to acknowledge the significance of the moment and show respect for their gesture. It strengthens your bond and conveys your genuine joy for their happiness and gratitude nurtures relationships and reminds everyone of the love and connection that brings people together.

However, Lawrence said that if you are going to miss the event, you should let them know well in advance and give a clear reason. He noted:

The most important thing to do is to ensure you communicate early enough. Let your communication be as honest as it can be, make it even warmer and very respectful. Ensure you state clear unavoidable reasons that will cause you not to attend. Tell them how you wish to be at the event, and you feel like you are going to miss a lot. State clearly that you have plans to make it up to them.
