The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested 42 people during raids on three companies in Karachi’s Rabia City over alleged involvement in producing and selling sexually explicit digital content.
The agency’s Karachi Zone conducted the operation against businesses suspected of creating, promoting and selling pornographic cartoon animations and other digital content to foreign customers. Officials also seized 41 mobile phones for technical examination and digital forensic analysis.
Preliminary findings suggest the companies allegedly operated through organized teams that contacted international customers via social media platforms, including Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

Investigators suspect that the teams created and managed multiple social media accounts using fake identities, women’s names and misleading profiles to attract foreign clients. These accounts reportedly promoted services such as logo design, banner creation, digital illustrations and animations, alongside sexually explicit cartoon content.
Officials are investigating whether the suspects used these identities to approach international customers and obtain orders for pornographic animations.

Details of the Three Companies
According to officials, one company was owned by Fida Hussain and had operated for about two years. The business provided logo design, banner creation, and other digital artwork services to international clients. Investigators seized 19 mobile phones from its premises.
The second company allegedly belonged to a man named Danish and had four employees. It mainly promoted logo and banner design services to foreign customers through online platforms. The agency recovered five mobile phones during the raid.
The third company was allegedly operated by Mohsin and Ehsan and employed 17 people. It offered digital design, animation and other online content services to international markets. Officers seized 17 mobile phones from the premises.
NCCIA Examines Digital Evidence
The NCCIA has taken the seized devices into custody to determine the nature and extent of the alleged activities. Investigators are examining social media accounts, digital communications, suspected explicit animations and other electronic evidence linked to the companies.
The forensic examination is expected to help investigators establish how the businesses operated, how they communicated with foreign customers and whether the suspected activities violated applicable laws.
The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations against the arrested individuals have not yet been established in court.
