Neha Bora and Abhijeet Dipke were detained in Delhi ahead of the 'Lehra Do Tiranga' protest march. Bora, National President of the All-India Students' Association (AISA), was released early Saturday, while Cockroach Janata Party founder Dipke faces a court hearing over a breach-of-peace case.
AISA alleged that Bora was held overnight, denied necessary medication, and prevented from meeting lawyers. Following her release, she demanded the release of detained activists, an immediate halt to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters' list, and action against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Dipke was arrested under Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). A Special Executive Magistrate will determine whether he receives bail or is remanded to jail.
